Alpine Christmas market
A 30-minute drive from Bolzano at the end of a gorge. The main emphasis on crafts and mountain flavours. Stalls at the Sarner Alpen-Advent market are built in the style of Alpine huts, selling wares like hand-made clothing (eg the "Sarnar Janggar" thick woollen cardigan). Visitors to the market gather around cauldrons of mulled wine and homemade "krapfen" (samosa-like pastries with sweet fillings), speck, "Apfel-Kiechl" (apple fritters).

Christmas Market

Castelrotto/Kastelruth is situated at the foot of the monumental Sciliar/Schlern mountain, beneath the largest alpine pastureland the Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm. Pre-christmas atmosphere combined with breathtaking views. Over three weekends in the lead-up to Christmas its historical village square is the venue for the Christmas market with stalls displaying local crafts and serving rural fare. The event will be accompanied by plenty of Alpine-style musical performances and entertainment.

Martello/Martell valley
Christmas Market

The Martello Valley’s Christmas market is the highest Christmas market in the entire alpine region (2,061m above sea level). It takes place in the heart of the Stelvio/Stilfser Joch national park, taking place at weekends (Friday to Monday) throughout Advent.
